I would like to introduce myself.
My name is Debra and I’m a mother, grandmother, and a great-grandmother. Yes! I am very blessed.
No! I’m not a writer. But who has to be an accomplished writer or a good speller to blog?
I have a love and zest for life. I love people. My curiosity peaks when I watch how others interact with their love ones, in particular how they interact with their senior loved ones.I love and appreciate seniors. There is a lot we learn from our elders.
With this blog I want to share with you some of the ups and downs of taking care of a senior parent or any senior loved one.
I took care of my mother for six years before she passed away September 9, 2010. I want to share my joy, pain, and the love we have for one another.
Most of all, I want to let the world know what a pleasure it was to take care of my mother in her time of need. That experience was something I would never trade.
My motto: “ Take care of your elders because we don’t know who may have to take care of us”.
I hope you find this blog interesting, insightful, humorous and helpful. Please keep checking back.
I love you mom.
Debra
